Lake Front

Got our morning routine done and it was such a beautiful day decided to go to the lake front for our walk and it was a very good decision.

Parked at the end so we walked into the sun to start. Riley really enjoyed waving at everyone who walked by us and everyone commented on his great smile. We saw lots of birds, that kept Riley's attention. So many different bird calls and a lot of them we couldn't see because they were hiding in the trees. It was so nice when we finally turned around and the sun was out of our eyes. When we got back to the car we both had something to drink and it really hit the spot. We'll have to do this again soon.

This morning Riley decided the new toy of the day was measuring cups and spoons. He was using them like pots and spoons. I got to taste lots of things he was stirring up.

Another day of lunch before nap. Riley ate really well for lunch today, a whole serving of ravioli's and a slice of an ice cream sandwich for dessert. Still trying to get protein into his meals.

Played a bit more and he went down for his nap at about noon. He slept for almost 3 hours and he must have been pretty tired because I checked on him twice and he didn't move. When he did get up he was smiling and happy like he usually is when he wakes up, not like yesterday.

This afternoon was full of reading, he should know his alphabet after reading the alphabet book as many times as we did.

It was a grilled cheese for dinner and he did pretty good with eating that, no whole pieces left over just a few he sucked on and then spit out. Not sure why he does this but he does, maybe he gets all the flavor and he is done with those pieces.

When you don't get home until six makes for a short evening but I still got all my chores done and then it was time to play some of my video game.
