We Are Back

What a great time we had, but it is always good to get home. This picture was taken on our bus tour from Flaam. Went up into the mountains and looks back at the fjord, as you can see it is just beautiful. I will be sending out more pictures when I get a chance to go through them. Been pretty busy since we got home. Click on the picture so you can see it larger and all the detail.

The Goes Trouble

Where does he get the energy? I wish he would give some to me. Riley came to visit us on Thursday night while Andy and Nikki went to see Transformers (which they loved and want to see again). Riley kept us on the go for the evening. He found a new friend in the mirror and he really wanted to play with him but he just wouldn't come out of the mirror. By 7:30 everyone was starting to lose steam so we sat down and watched Wheel of Forture. Then it was time for Riley to go to bed. We had the porta-crib set up in the Navy Room, the I-pod player going and he went right down, barely moved. So now we know that he will sleep at our house.

Saturday was the big trip to the Scrapbook store in Melbourne with Jodi, Robert, and Tammy. We were looking for supplies to make a wedding album for Jodi's sister. We found some really nice stuff and can't wait to start working on it. We are also going to make a trip to Ruban Rouge in Tampa at the end of August to see if they have some of the things we couldn't find.

Got out of the Scrapbook store and I had 12 missed calls and Tammy had a bunch and we had everyone dead or dying. Found out that Andy couldn't get the printer to work and they just kept trying to get in touch with us. Then Dan called Tom to have him try Tammy's phone but we all left our phones in the car. Thank goodness it wasn't anything serious. We found a Sonic so we could calm our nerves and get on with our trip.

Our next stop was a fish market that Robert had been to but couldn't quite remember where it was. It turned out that it was right where he thought it was but it was closed and had been for awhile. We were all disappointed because we were looking forward to the fish market excursion and I wanted to get some shrimp for dinner. Guess I'll have to depend on Publix.

When I went to work on Monday (aka taking care of Riley), he was a walking fool. He is just so cute when he walks. He webbles, he wobbles, and most times he falls down but when he doesn't he can walk across the room. As the week has gone on he walks more and more, I think he is starting to prefer walking to crawling. Pretty soon I'm going to have a hard time keeping up with him.

Only four more days until we leave for Norway, can't wait.

4th of July

We all a had a great time at Tammy and Tom's on the 4th. The attendees were: Jodi and Robert, Kim, Dennis, Sami, Cole, Breann, and Josie, Andy, Nikki, and Riley, Dan and I, and of course Tammy and Tom. Throughout the course of the day just about everyone made it into the pool. It was much warmer then we thought it would be with all the rain and overcast skies we have been having. As you can see Riley was the center of attention for this group.

We had a great meal, as always. Hamburgs, hot dogs, deviled eggs, potato salad, pasta salad, chips, and of course cake. After lunch we had a pinata for the kids to try to break and as to be expected it was the big kid (Andy) that sent everything flying. You would think the kids had never seen candy before the way they were diving after all of it.

When it started raining Tammy pulled out the arts and crafts. The kids decorated canvas bags. Jodi was the lucky one for this activity because she was Breann's partner. You have to ask about the eyes on the frog sometime.

The day went by very fast and Dan and I left at about 1930, didn't stay for the fireworks that was past our bedtime.

Three Little Steps

Can't you just hear him laughing. I have to agree with Sami, when Riley laughs you know it because even if he doesn't make a sound you can tell he is laughing by looking at his eyes.

I also have a secret, ssshhh, don't tell Andy or Nikki, oh thats right I already told Andy. Riley took 3 steps today. I came out of the bathroom and he was just standing at the end of the couch facing me not holding on to anything. So I got down and three steps later he was in my arms. Of course he wouldn't repeat it so I could get a picture because as soon as the camera comes out he thinks he should have it and he gets over to me the fastest way he knows how and that is crawling. But he he getting very steady on his feet when not holding on to anything.

That's all the news that is fit to print from here. Have a great day!

Quiet Weekend

Had a pretty quiet weekend. Did our normal errands but also went to Bass Pro Shop to get some clothes for the cruise. We both got some new walking/hiking shoes so we will be comfortable on our walks around the towns in Norway we will be visiting, can't wait. Also stopped in to see Chris at his store. Told him if he wasn't going to answer his phone we would have to come and visit him, found out his phone was charging in his car so it was pretty hard for him to answer.

Sunday was more errands, don't know why we can't do them all on Saturday but we can't so we always end up going out on Sundays. Today was a two trip because Pinch-a-Penny doesn't open until ten and I'm not waiting that late to go to Wal-Mart it would be to crazy for me. So off to Wal-Mart and Publix to pick up all the things we just can't live without. Then home to do a few chores, load up recyclables and we are off again.

Today was the first time in five years of testing our pool that the results came back as everything was okay, didn't even have to add any chlorine.

The rest of the day was spent watching the race, this week from Loudon, NH and hoping that it would rain. It finally did rain, we just got wind and rain. Tammy may have had a tornado go through her neighborhood, they aren't sure what it was but it did some damage.

Such an exciting life we lead.
