Wildlife

We got back into the swing of things today. Riley still slept until 0800 but we got to take our walk just a bit later then usual. Saw all sorts of wildlife today at the pond. There were three anhingas, we usually only see one actually we have only ever seen one. Lots of mallards, don't know if they were just passing through or staying for awhile. The Twins and Mohawk (the whites ducks that are always there) were on the opposite side of the pond as normal and when we got to them the Twins waddled away but Mohawk just laid there and didn't move which never happens. Hope he isn't sick. Also saw this Great White Heron and he decided to ruffle his feathers while we were watching him, it was pretty funny.

The rest of our walk was pretty boring, didn't see any of our usual pets in the windows and we were looking for them. This is one of the things that keeps Riley entertained as we are walking.

Not much else happened today. Riley took a good nap but he didn't go down until after 1100. Then we played with his mega-blocks for most of the afternoon.

Got home expecting Dan to get home shortly but he was having one of those days and he won't be home until about 1900. I have his dinner all ready for him when he walks in the door. He has had two long days now, 20 hours and it is only Tuesday.

Chris was off today and he lucked out because his new glasses came in and he was able to go pick them up, that was good service and he doesn't look like a geek anymore.
