Talking

Did our morning routine, Riley up, Riley eats (waffles this morning), Riley dressed, we are now ready to go for our walk. Decided it was a lake front day. On our way we got gas at WalMart, I'm set for another week.

Very busy at the lake front again. I don't think there is a slow time anymore. I remember when Tammy and I first started walking here and no one else was walking.

Today we also ran into this motley crew. Riley was very excited to see them. When the back window rolled down and he saw the kids, he wanted out of his stroller something fierce. He talked and waved and waved and waved. They were on their way to BJ's and took a chance we would be walking and we were. Talked for a bit and then we were on our way.

Got to the center part of the lake front and they were starting to set up for the Spring Fling. Riley was very interested in the rides, I told him when he was bigger we would bring him to ride the rides.

Heading back saw the alligator again, he was right at the end of the pond by the parking lot. There was a man trying to get a picture, hope he got it because the gator swam away as he was getting closer. The rest of the walk was pretty uneventful.

Next we were off to find the Mail Center on New York Ave to drop off the old HD receiver. This place is on the corner of 10th and New York in what looked like an old hotel. There is also a Starbucks and a cafe. It was a pretty strange place. We were in and out in no time and Riley hates that because he has to get right back into his car seat. When we have to do this he always struggles and gets ugly. Finally got him buckled in, gave him his phone and told him to call daddy and tell him how mean I was being to him. He laughed at that and everything was all better.

Stopped at Sonic and then it was back to the apartment to rest up from our big morning. Riley went down for his nap shortly after we got home and slept for about 3 hours. Then when he got up he really didn't want to eat lunch so he pretty much grazed most of the afternoon.

Riley is talking more and more and I'm actually recognizing words. He said UP when he wanted me to pick him up. Then when Andy called to say he was on his way home, Riley yelled "It's Daddy, it's Daddy, it's Daddy." Guess he knows the ring tone now. He was very excited about the whole thing.

Mum and Dad stopped by to visit us this evening, dropped off a book for Riley and some Pepsi points for Andy. We also had the pleasure of Chris's company.
