Getting ready before the race, numbers and chips in place.
Walking across the parking lot to the start area.
Cole tolerating the crazy ladies.
If you look closely at the above picture, you can see where we signed the board. Tammy and I are on the left, in the middle, in green ink and Kim and Cole are just below and to the right in blue.
Getting our pictures taken at some of the sets.
The two MC's of the preshow, kept us occupies and laughing.
Start line before anyone lined up.
Watching the sunset, race didn't start until 2030 and our group didn't leave the start line until 2055.
Some shots before the start.
Cole trying to look bored but we knew he was bubbling with excitement.
Finally our turn.
Balance, Kim and Cole.
The tires, Kim and me. You can see we were really racing through them.
Forgot we had to jump over the hay bales.
The end of the 5K and getting our first clue on the scavenger hunt. Didn't find out until we got to the next clue that we had two different clues and had to go to different spots. They were really close together but confused us for a second or two.
We all crossed the finish line together.
With our new medals.
We all had a really good time and plan on doing it again next year. Always looking for more folks to join us in any of our adventures.

I found your names.
It looks like you had a lot of fun.
What is your mile pace?
I have become a walker and I am wondering what a realistic goal would be.
I remember, during the Olympics, looking at the walking times and seeing that the participants walked faster kilometers than I ran.
When I walk alone it is about 13:30 to 14:00. When we are in a group like this race it is usually in the 15:00 range. When I first started about 18 months ago I was at about 20 minute miles and have improved from there.
OK. Thanks.
