First an introduction to the newest member of the family, EPIC, Chris and Jaime's chihuahua. He is about ten weeks old and just as cute as can be.
I have been mulling this over for a month or so and finally decided to just Do It! Must say it was just about painless but I think that had more to do with having Chris and Jaime there to keep me occupied so I really didn't think about what was going on around my ankle.
I knew that I wanted the race distances that I have done since I started walking last year and I wanted to leave a space for the marathon I plan on doing in January. Just a little incentive to follow through.
This was the outline before any needles touched my skin. The 13.1k that you see there was changed to just 13.1 because it was a half-marathon. Chris saw it right before Johnny was going to start inking it, so all is well and right in the world.
Here is Johnny working on the outline. Once he started it went very fast.
On my belly so he can do the back of my ankle. The space above my ankle bone is for the 26.2 miles and you better believe I will be back there as soon as I can after the marathon.
Some of the ink going on. A bit messy but cleans right up.
The finished look.
I only had a couple of ideas when I went in and Johnny pulled everything together and came up with the pattern. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Now the hard part, staying out of the pool for the next two weeks.

I love it! Maybe I need something like that. Where are you going to put the 15k we are going to do?
I cheated and already put that one in, figured I would do that one with no problems. Just couldn't bring myself to put the marathon in and jinx myself.
Something will happen. You jinxed yourself!
How long does a 15K take? I'm not sure that I could do it. Good luck.
Nice tattoo. I like the idea.
Mike, takes me just over two hours. About 2:02 or so, it's just about 9 miles. Just have to keep things interesting.
