Good Day

Well I had a good day today. Started with Weight Watchers, finally after two weeks of going nowhere I lost 3.8 pounds. Really felt it was about time, now just to watch myself while we are at the beach.

Then I stopped to get gas and only paid $2.13 a gallon, never thought I would see that price again. Then after I got home Andy called and told me it was $2.09 at RaceTrac but we don't have one of those stations in Saint Cloud.

Today's weather has been very dreary, gray and over cast and the last time I checked the temp was about 65 degrees. Still warm enough to open the back doors and let the cats wander around out there. The sun is suppose to be out tomorrow, sure hope so because we are all heading for the beach for four days.

Dan did end up having a long day, should be home at about 1830 or so. Probably another long one tomorrow because he heads over to Leesburg.

Not much else happening but want to end with these two quotes from last night. Some food for thought:

And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your president, too. -Barack Obama-

I urge all Americans ... I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together to find the necessary compromises to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited. -John McCain-

New Voters

Pretty quiet day around here. I got to watch the kids while Andy and Nikki went to vote. This is the first time for both of them. They lucked out because when they went there was no line and it actually formed behind them with people showing up.

Also have a new blogger in the family, Leesha has joined the blogging world and I'm looking forward to seeing what keeps her busy and entertained.

Celebrate

Had a busy day but it was my own fault because I left shopping for Andy's birthday until today. Had most everything done by the time we left the house at 0845. I made the cake as soon as I got up and frosted it just before we left. Andy always chooses the same thing for dinner, stuffed shells and I cooked the pasta before we left so all I had to do was assembly them and pop them in the oven.

Dan was off today and you know that means he will have some long days the rest of the week. But that is okay because he got to come out with me. First I got my hair cut and Dan went to Home Depot. He got everything he needed to stain the chairs except for the stain. Then it was off to IKEA and GameStop for gift cards for Andy. We also went to Target to get an actual present for Andy.

Then we headed down John Young to the Lowe's on Osceola Parkway to get the stain and they had what we wanted. Also stopped by Wal-Mart to get a booster seat for Riley to use when he is at our house to eat.

Andy, Nikki, Riley, and Kaleigh arrived at about 1700 and we were just waiting for the garlic bread to come out of the oven and we were ready to eat. I made some special shells for Riley with just cheese and he like that.

Andy also always has a white cake with white frosting, that I make. Nothing special but it is what he likes. Used some of the left over candles from Riley's Party.

Before he could blow out the candles, he and Riley had to act like monkeys because there were some on the cake.

Had a really nice time even though it seemed like it was the middle of the night by the time we were done eating.

Who's Turning 22?

Have you figured it out? Well it is my baby, Andy. Can't believe 22 years ago we were in Blue Hill, Maine waiting for Andy to come along.

Have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY and we will see you for dinner.

Did You Remember?

To set you clocks back, we did but the cats just don't get the concept. So when the clock says 0420, Cozzie thinks it is really 0520 and just doesn't understand why we aren't getting up. Don't know how long this will go on for but I know it will be a while.

We had a very quiet day. Nothing planned and nothing to do around the house. So we made a quick trip to Wal-Mart this morning and a stop at Sonic on the way home.

Spent the rest of the day watching football and NASCAR.

Not very exciting but kind of nice.

I Know I've Already Said It...

...but the deck is done and today was the official celebration. Mum, Dad, Tammy, Tom, Kim, Dennis, Sami, Cole, Breann, Andy, Nikki, Riley, Kaleigh, Dan and I were all in attendance.

First we just sat on the deck and enjoyed it and the new chairs that Dad made for us. They are great, I'm sure I will be spending a lot of time sitting in them.

Riley certainly thought the chairs were just right for him.

As alway there was lots of food and cake, we never forget the cake. Just as everyone got their food and had settled in on the deck it started to rain so we had to move to the dining room. But that was okay we had a good time anyways.

Discussed the trip to the beach that is happening next week, we are pretty excited about that. Then everyone headed home and we called it a day.
